The Leak Test Machine use pressure decay or mass flow testing to quickly check for leaks in components that have relatively small volumes. Pressure decay testing involves pressurizing a component with air and monitoring the pressure for negative changes. Any result outside the predetermined set points indicates the part is out of tolerance. The leak test machines are designed to present the component to the tester, test the component and based on the leak test results, return the part to the production process or “reject” it to a quarantined area.
